Be Healthy & Happy This Summer

summerThe arrival of summer means warm weather is knocking rudely on your body and mind. Its true lots of summer fruits refresh us but on the other hand we cannot avoid our health. The living may not be easy, but your life probably feels less chaotic .You can follow these tips this summer to keep you and your family happy and healthy:

  1. Hydrate : To stay hydrated it’s very important to drink plenty of water and juice. To avoid dehydration drink plenty of water before, during and after physical activity. You can add slices of your favorite fruits such as melon, oranges, lemon or even cucumber or mint to a pitcher of water and refrigerate for two hours. Alcohol consumption may cause dehydration.
  1. Protect your skin from the sun: Apply sunscreen with a water-resistant sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or greater, and apply at least 20-30 minutes before going outside. Wear UVA/UVB protective sunglasses wide-brimmed hats and protect your arms and legs with loose fitting, tightly woven cotton clothing.
  1. Plan activities: Remember UV rays are weakest before 11 a.m. and after 4 p.m. Plan activities during these times. Avoid intense activities when the sun is at its strongest.
  1. Stay indoors: Try to stay indoors during extremely hot temperatures.
